47 BELOW ZERO
My parents are from Butte, Montana, and when I was growing up in California, we often went back there in the summer to visit relatives. I always loved the colorful houses, especially in relation to the California ranch houses of my childhood. When I visited Butte in the frigid winter of January 2018 for my aunt’s funeral, I experienced 47 below zero Fahrenheit. It's hard to describe that kind of cold, but at least I had a camera to capture the cool golden northern light reflecting on these houses and cars.
